Vehicle Description
1962 CONVERTIBLE, ROMAN RED, RED INTERIOR, 327-300 HP. SHOWING MATCHING NUMBERS, (RARE) POWERGLIDE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, (RARE) POWER WINDOWS, AFTER MARKET AM-FM STEREO CASSETTE, FRAME UP RESTORATION.
Classic Corvette prices are often driven by firsts and lasts. The 1962 Corvette has many of these making it one of the most desirable "Straight Axle" Corvettes on the market. It is the first year for the 327 motor and aluminum cases for the Powerglide transmission. The lasts include open headlights, coves, and trunks. This car is finished in Roman Red with the correct Red Tuxedo Loop carpet. The seats are covered in the factory style vinyl seat covers. The 1962 Corvette is often touted as the most refined of the Solid Axle cars. With the current appreciation rates this is one of the best auto investments you can make. This is an investment grade car that is ready to ride and drive.

Vehicle Condition
The engine compartment is extra clean, free of road grime, and buildup. The detail paint is shows very nicely. All hoses and fuel lines are clean and fresh. The ignition shielding and breather chrome is all in good condition. The exhaust manifolds appear to be freshly dressed with no rust build up. The exterior shows a quality paint job, but it is not Pebble Beach Concourse. There are no blisters from impurities in the fiberglass. The shine will blow you away. The bumper chrome is good with no pitting or ghosting. The rocker panels have a good flush fit and appear as new. The window moldings are all in very good shape and have a great cosmetic appearance. The grill is chip free. The hood, doors, and deck lid all line up with a solid fit and finish. Inside the car shows new carpet and vinyl seat covers. The door panel trim and fit are much better than average. The gauge cluster, steering wheel, and dash inserts show little to no wear and tear. The frame is rust free, and shows no evidence of patching or repair.
